Somebody out there suggested that we don’t have any serious Hill Climbs in Northern Ireland so Dromara CC have worked to put together The Slieve Croob Hill Climb Challenge. The start is from Dree Hill which leads up to the Slieve Croob Car park finally heading up to the summit of Slieve Croob. We hope to attract the fastest Hill Climbers from across the country but also to anyone else who wants to challenge themselves to get to the top.
The first rider will set off at 3pm with the next riders going off in one minute intervals. There will be £100 going to the fastest Lady to the top and £100 to the fastest man as well. There will of course be a large range of spot prizes so no matter what time it takes to get you to the top you will still be in with a shout for a prize. Entry fee £10 for those who hold a competition licence. £15 otherwise. Sign on opens at 2 pm at the Kings Pub. Prize giving afterwards in the pub. BBQ served from 3 pm onwards.
