Club Road Events 2019

Club League

The Dromara Club league will consist of races hosted by both Dromara CC and neighbouring clubs.

There will be a total of 16 scoring rounds of which the best 13 will go towards a rider’s overall standing.

In addition to the league, we will be having a season opener Team Time Trial on 28^th March this is designed to get everyone out and riding together in a reasonably controlled environment and get primed for the upcoming league.

As these races are held on open roads, safety of the rider’s is of the utmost importance, so we ask that everyone who wishes to participate in the league, to volunteer to marshal at a minimum of two events to assist in the safe running of them. A webform for putting your name down to marshal can be found here

In the interests of ensuring that all events run smoothly, any rider who participates in the opening rounds of the league, but have not yet put their name down to cover events, will have events assigned for them for take responsibility to cover. It will then be up to the rider to ensure that their spot is adequately marshalled.

Interclub League

Dromara are also participating in an inter-club trophy with Dromore CC and West Down Wheelers.

This league will total 12 events of which each club hosts 4.

Points will be allocated to each club based on the finishing positions of the top 3 riders from each club, with bonus points made available based on club participation, so the more riders a club can field, the more points are scored for the overall title.

Dromara are the current holders of this trophy, and we’re in no mood to give it back just yet.
