Young Gibson takes Club Road Race Victory
After the weather halted the first Club TT last week the early rain did not deter the hardened Dromara Road Racers/Marshals. With Trevor giving a great talk on marshalling and Chris having organised the groups it was time to start the first Club Road Race.
Quite a large Group 1 set off with a few new names, old names and should of been in Group 2 names. 3 mins later Group 2 set off with a further 3 mins passed before the Scratch group took off. With some great riding five Group 1 riders stayed away and young Matthew Gibson taking the sprint to record his first victory(the first of many I am sure)
Most aggressive rider award went to the very shy Gary Bailie.
Many thanks to Slane Cycles and the CycleZone for the very generous prizes – they are both always happy to help us out with a few prizes for our events
