Downey takes 3rd at John Memorial with Currie 7th at Annaclone
As per usual the stories that no one has been training or in fact sat on a bike over winter have been proved to be incorrect. The Road Racing season started in Feburary with Annaclone with a great turn out from Dromara CC.
In the A4 race the break managed to stay away leaving the remaining group to sprint out the remaining places. Neil Currie clearly has been putting in the winter training and managed to snatch 7th place.
Finally at the John Memorial Race at Carryduff there was another great turn out from Dromara and on a tough course. Tommy Downey showed he is another man putting the training in to sprint away and take a well deserved 3rd place – it wont be long until young Downey is showing his stuff at A3 level.
