Christmas Stew Run
Sunday 22nd December see’s the club host it’s annual Christmas Stew Run, which is has been going on a for a few years now and is one of the most popular club runs of the year. It starts at 10am.
There will be an A and B group to suit abilities, and they will follow the usual route starting in Dromara, then onto Drumaroad, Spa, Ballynahinch, Downpatrick, then round by Tyrella beach then home via the Carnreagh road for the fast finish from Guinnes School to Dromara. It will total around 50 miles.
After that all members will meet in Square One where they will be provided with a big bowl of stew, with a few celebratory drinks optional.
Also on the day there will be a collection for club member Ted McKibben, who was badly injured in a life-changing accident back in the summer.
This run is restricted to club members only, and we hope to see a big crowd out to join up and have a bit of craic before the Christmas holidays.
