Almost perfect conditions for the Hill Climb Challenge
On Saturday 17 September 2022, Dromara Cycling Club ran the 6th edition of the Hill Climb Challenge from the bottom of Dree Hill in Finnis to the top of Slieve Croob. A 5km ascent which, thankfully, took place on a superb day with blue skies and light winds. There were 25 competitors with 4 making their way up from Leinster. The event started at 10 am with the riders starting at one minute intervals.
The results are shown below. Well done to Paul-Antoine Hagan for winning the event and taking home the hill climb jersey. Paul-Antoine’s name gets added to the perpetual trophy.
The riders enjoyed some tea & coffee back at Peter Morgan’s cottage while the results were compiled.
Thanks to all the riders for coming along and to the volunteers who helped host the event.
