Trails running well at the Croob enduro
This year’s Slieve Croob Enduro event took place on Saturday 30 July 2022. The event takes in 3 stages on Slieve Croob which riders could do as many times as they wished from 10 am to 3 pm. The lead up to the race had been fairly dry which meant the 3 stages were in great condition. Race day started with some light drizzle for the 74 riders but then they were greeted with episodes of dry, warm and clammy spells, more light drizzle, some sunshine and the occasional heavy shower. Thankfully it was dry at the end of the event for the prize giving.
Thanks to all the club members and friends of the club for helping to put on the event. Thanks to Dessie the landowner, Ivan Park for the Sportident timing, Mech Monkey for providing technical assistance and sponsoring some great prizes, commissaire Stephen McDonald for ensuring the helmet rule was applied, and our paramedic who thankfully had no incidents to sort out.
Well done to all riders and congratulations to the winners.
