Perfect weather for the Slieve Croob climb
Dromara Cycling Club hosted their 5th edition of the Slieve Croob Hill Climb Challenge on Saturday 18th September 2021. The 5 kilometre route from the base of Dree Hill to the top of the climb does live up to the term – “challenge”. With near perfect weather conditions, 26 riders took on the challenge in one minute gaps starting just after 10 am. Fastest rider on the day was Lindsay Watson (Powerhouse Sport) with Stuart Millar (Ards CC) second and Nathan Mullan from the host club third. Unfortunately there were no female competitors this year.
All riders were offered an t-shirt with the winner getting a winner’s jersey and their name on the trophy.
Many thanks to all the volunteers who helped put on the event. Photos to follow.
