Magowans go head to head again in Club League while the MTbers tackle Craigavon lakes
I guess Summer has decided it isnt worth hanging around and Autumn is in the air on the Dundrum line. This change in weather conditions didnt stop the cyclists willing to compete in the last 10 mile TT of the club league.
Many thanks to the timekeepers: Ronnie S and Derek H with helpers Andrew F and Matthew A.
Thanks to the marshals at the crossroads – Eddie D and David B
And thanks to the marshals at the turn – Noel and Gary Gibson – with assistance from another Gibson member Josuha.
The first 5 miles felt great and new pb’s were clearly in the minds of the riders, however once you made the turn the thought of pb was wiped out by a wild headwind.
The Magowans were going head to head again and Chris looks to have gained the upper hand taking the fast time of the night at 24:29. Gavin didnt just have to worry about Chris as young Matthew Gibson produced another super time of 24:54 just 6 seconds behind Gavin.
There were three ladies who contested the TT and it was Wanita B showing that all this MTBing has certainly helped stay strong in that headwind to have the fastest time of the night.

MTB – Craigavon Lakes
The last round of the ulster xc saw several members head to Craigavon with John Shanks taking 14th in the S2 race, Davy Broome producing a great ride to take 8th in the S3 race, Gibson Chambers had a flyer to record a 6th place in the S4 race but performance of the day goes to Lexie Broome in the Under 8 race with her taking a well deserved 4th place. Barry Kellett was sitting in a comfortable 3rd place in the S1 race until he attacked a bit of tape and a few cones which ended his race.
