B’Hinch to Hillsborough and back – 16m TT
With summer yet to arrive we should be delighted that it stayed dry for another Thursday night. Normally our Time Trials are 10miles but sometimes the club league likes to spoil its members and you get to go solo for 16miles. The best part is the first 8 miles will be into a headwind – you cant beat high quality resistance training.
Gavin M didnt seem to notice the headwind and took the fastest time of the night at 37min 11 sec with BVK keeping him honest just over 30secs back to take second.
Normally it is easy to find the performance of the night but with several people trying to take that title I will leave you with the contenders so you can decide:
Lisa M produced an sensational time to smash her pb on this course and post the 8th fastest time of the night.
Matthew G is suppose to be studying hard for his exams but has clearly been spending all his time training – he took the 3rd fastest time of the night.
Peter D finally is giving a go at time trialling and it was quite a baptism fire but he produced an excellent time.
Many thanks to the timekeepers Zak H, Ronnie S, Stephen W and assistant Michael C.
Also thanks to the marshals at the turn – Kevin McD, Eddie D, David D and David McC.
Thanks to the marshals in Annahilt – Ruth B and Neil A.
Hard luck to Trevor B and to Graeme D (one with bike machine issues the other with human machine issues!).
A warm welcome to new member Colin McG getting a true baptism of fire. Another new member Patrick O’G came along to meet some of us at the start and will hopefully be dipping his toes into the club league shortly.
