Round 22 – 2 Up Gall Bog Road
Round 22 marks the last round of the league that carried league points. With everyone talking about it being the end of the season last week it was clear mid week that there may have been quite a bit of talk but the good bikes didnt get put away.
With the start and finish not at the same place it is never straight forward for the timekeepers. First things first are to pass out thanks this evening to Emma J who sorted out the job of getting everyone signed on and then allocated onto the start sheet. Thanks also go to Conor R for starting the riders and to Johnny McB and John W for timekeeping at the far end of the course.
Many thanks to the occupiers at the pub for allowing us to park in their car park and congregate in their drive way.
The youth of Dromara CC is clearly as strong as ever and it was great to see Sam and Olivia having a go and to have Niamh out as well. Nathan M giving the pep talk at the warm up before Lisa partnering up. Great times as well.
While speaking of the wave of youth coming through the two Matthews teamed up for the 2 Up and gave the auld lads (Chris & Gavin M) a run for their money. Both pairs finished with a time of 3mins 50secs but the auld lads took it by a few hundredths.

The other big race on the night was for the Club League overall lead. It has been a close fought race but Linda Ford managed to brign Ryan C out of retirement to partner her to beat Roisin & partner Marty Mc to take the overall Club League.
The full table can be found here and feel free to double check the points and contact us through the web site if there are any mistakes.
With Club League Points sorted you will be glad to hear that it is Hill Climbing Season. We have 3 great hill climbs left for those of you who just don’t want to pack the nice bikes away yet.
Next week will be a new hill climb course which can be found here http://app.strava.com/segments/3746159
Keep an eye on the forum as we will be looking for a couple of marshals for this and a few photographers to picture the happy faces.
