Trevor takes lead in Club League as Gavin produces fastest time
The Anahilt Triangle was due to be the course for Round 9 of the Club League but after a safety check it was decided that the course was too dangerous. I hear it is too early for cyclocross and it is possible this could be used for the MTB Club league instead ;-). Due to this a new course was created but due to more roadworks it had to be reduced from 10 miles to 7.5 miles.
The layby at Limehill Road was an excellent venue to get all the cars off the road and get the riders ready. This course certainly doesnt look that hard when you look at it on google maps but for all those that completed this will tell you this is not an exactly flat course. The last drag to the finish is enough to ruin anyones time for the night.
There were 38 riders taking part in the TT with 3 visitors prepared to try out this course. Gavin M has been getting quicker and quicker if that was possible and put in the time of the night at 17:39. Chris M wasnt too far behind at 18:13 with a very fast travelling Marcus M completing the top 3. Lisa M was the quickest lady of the night producing a super time of 20:51.
Lots of volunteers helping to run this event which is much appreciated.
Many thanks to the timekeepers: Gary B, Nathan M and Marty McA
The timekeeper’s assistants – Ronnie S and Bryce H
And to the marshals – Colin R, Martina H, Brendan D, Zak H, Michael M, Kyle I
And to Lisa’s wonderful kids – Sam and Olivia for catering.
With the handicaps added to these results we get:
When the points are added to the Club League Table we find that Trevor now takes the top spot from Linda although we are only half way through the league. Full list can be found here
