Bernie's Big 50 Charity Cycle 17 August 2013 |
Club member Bernie Monaghan is turning 50 this year and she has organised a leisure cycle of 50 miles to celebrate. The cycle will take place on Saturday 17 August 2013 from the Glenn GAA club which is located on Barr Hill in Newry. Sign on opens at 9 am with a mass start at 10 am. The route will take in the countryside of South Down, South Armagh and the Cooley Penninsula. Route map here. No pre-registration required. Bernie is asking for a £10 entry fee with money going to Special Olympics Ulster Food served afterwards back at the GAA club. Shower and changing facilities available. Cycling insurance required either from Cycling Ireland or the CTC. A one-day leisure licence can be obtained for just £1.
