McCann Cup
14 April 2008

The 6th annual McCann Cup Road Race, promoted by Omagh Wheelers Cycling Club, took place today. The riders were split into two races: The 'A' race for category S2 riders, selected juniors and strong vets, consisted of 6 laps of the Seskinore 9 mile circuit (54 miles).   The 'B' race for category S3 riders, remaining juniors, vets and women, consisting of 5 laps of the same circuit (45 miles).

Congratulations to Paul Kane (S2) for his win in the A event, his first of the season and to John Paul Connelly for his win in the B event.  Dromara CC's Darren Weir finished 6th in the B race giving him the remaining outstanding points to take him up to category S2 alongside Ronnie Smyth.
