League - Round 22 10 mile TT - Crossgar Road, Ballynahinch (map) 29 August 2013 The final 10 mile time trial of the season took place on the Crossgar Road heading out of Ballynahinch. This is a tough twisting circuit and not one of the favourites among the testers. However, this evening was perfect for the event with dry conditions and a favourable wind which saw a new course record set by Gavin Magowan of 24 minutes and 28 seconds. Eighteen riders turned up to take part, 16 from the club and 2 guests. Riders got underway at 7pm sharp with Paul Gick heading off first with the rest heading off at 30 second intervals. The fastest riders on unmodified road bikes were Anthony Quinn and Barry Kellett who both finished ahead of the second fastest rider on a time trial specific bike, Ronnie Smyth. Nathan Mullan also set a great time on his road bike beating Marcus Magowan on his time trial bike. Well done to all the riders. Many thanks to the time keepers and marshals.
