Tonight was the start of the individual time trials marking Round 3 of Dromara CC's Club League 2008. Seventeen riders gathered on the Dundrum Road outside Dromara for the 10 mile ride out to Edendarriff Road and back. The weather was dry, warmer than the previous two rounds (11°C) with a light wind coming from the south west (8 mph). Fortunately the heavy rain that had appeared at 5 pm had passed and we were left with an excellent evening. There was bad luck at the start for Noel Gibson who had a spoke break on his front wheel. He had to abandon plans to ride and instead helped out with the marshalling. The order of cyclists setting off was disrupted when 3 cyclists missed their slots and had to be put to the end of the list. Derek Hanna did another great job of timekeeping. Many thanks Deek.
