5 mile Individual Time Trial - Dundrum Road, Dromara

11 September 2008

On Thursday night 16 club riders showed up to complete a 5 mile time trial on the Dundrum Road just outside Dromara (map).  This was round 20 of the club league which is currently being lead by Paul Smyth with only Ronnie Smyth having any chance of taking the lead away from Paul.  Both competitors had shown up and along with the rest of the riders enjoyed a beautiful evening, dry with little wind.    With darkness now around 8:20 pm the timekeepers got the riders away early for this short event.  Young Ryan Mallon had a stroke of bad luck when he punctured but the other two young riders had a great evening both getting the top two points in the club league.  Well done Christopher and Connor.
