Dromara CC
Hill Climb
2008

07 June 2008

A beautiful Saturday afternoon in Dromara at the annual Begney Hill Climb.  The challenge involved a 0.21 mile climb up Begney Hill Road to the top of the hill then a 0.18 mile freewheel down the other side to the finish.   The finish line was unfortunately not visible from last year but careful analysis by Nigel and Deek (and some phone calls) sorted out the issue.  In spite of such a glorious evening the turn out was greatly down from last years 19 to only 5 entering this year.  Congratulations to Ronnie for completing the fastest time beating this time last year by one second (but not setting his own personal best!).  Also congratulations to Peter who made the biggest time improvement from last year (2:02 last year).
